Betsy K – Organizer Extraordinaire

I’m so proud of my dear friend, colleague and organizing professional Betsy Krobot. Her image is featured on the front page of the current Fairfield County Business Journal with an in-depth article about her business.

Besides being headline news and having her business publicized, what tickles me about this particular press piece is that the before-and-after featured behind Betsy is MY laundry room! I’m not afraid to reveal what a mess I was before Betsy arrived to help me.

I’m such an advocate of hiring professional organizers. Some of the areas that have helped me throughout the years, due to the talents of Betsy and others, are:

  • Keeping a master notebook
  • Moving my art books out of my business area to make room for more business opportunities to flow in
  • Creating notebooks to track projects I’m working on
  • Providing me with a tickler file
  • Using the principles of feng shui to attract business and allow positive energy to circulate in my office and home

If you’ve never hired a professional organizer before, I suggest you try out their services this year. The return on investment is exponential. Your productivity will increase and your frustration level will be minimized. I know from my own experience how valuable Betsy’s and her colleagues’ services are.

    Jane, your laundry room looks spectacular.

    Those of us in the professional organizing industry appreciate the praises you’re ringing, but we couldn’t make a difference without clients like you. You opened yourself up to see a new vision. You made decisions about new habits to keep. And then you followed through on your commitment to change.

    Congratulations to you & Betsy for forming a moving partnership!

    You’re so kind to give me and THE CLIENT equal billing in the process. And you’re right. Without a receptive client, you couldn’t do your job. Nice noticing! Plus, Betsy knows how to make it fun. Thanks for adding this piece to the pie.

    So Jane, your mention of a master notebook caught my eye. Could you elaborate on that concept a little further or have you written about this in a previous post?

    Thanks!

    What a HAPPY laundry room!! May I get a tour next time I am around?
    I love organizing, being organized and learning from talented professionals like Betsy Krobot. Congratulations to you both for being so good at what you do!
    P.S. Jan Wencel is correct, working is always so much more fun with such wise and open clients like you.

    What a thrill to see Betsy and her business recognized–it’s so well deserved. I met Betsy at a ’30 Remarkable Women Event’ last year at Artifacts where I learned that she is a dynamo! During our break-out time, Betsy reinforced that clearing out old files will bring in the new–a mantra to which I subscribed last year. It was a golden piece of advice. Congratulations to Betsy on her successes and to you Jane on a spectacular looking laundry room!

    @Jen
    I used to have yellow stickies all over my desk and computer, a phone log, an order book and a notebook that served as a gratitude list. I could barely see the surface of my desk. My then organizer (the wonderful Marcia Sloman) suggested a Master Notebook which is simply, for me, a spiral bound book that receives EVERYTHING that comes in during the day: brainstorms, gratitudes, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. Later, I can sort through this repository and take the necessary actions, but I don’t miss a detail and can look back a few pages if I did. Hope that helps.

    @Scarlett
    For sure! I’ll put on my Jackie Kennedy outfit and give you the royal tour!

    @Peggy
    Yes, you remarkable women get to meet each other at these events. I know wonderful women and love to introduce you to each other. No telling what can happen…
