I’ve done my homework; created a new vision board to inspire me over the next few years.
Here are some teasers to give you a taste of where I’m heading. Anna Deveare Smith, Diana Nyad and Queen Elizabeth are each on my wall now.
In addition, I cut out and mounted these quotes:
Don’t wait for permission to build a new society.
Escape within the city.
Real Heroes Don’t Tweet.
I was surprised at the themes that showed up. Having my coach help me interpret them was enlightening. And now I know what I’m going to dress up as for my Come As You’ll Be event next Monday night, December 3.
But I’m not telling anyone what I’m wearing…yet. You’ll have to see it to believe it!
The process of creating the vision board took on a life of its own. In the past, I’ve gotten a stack of lifestyle magazines, sat flipping through them for an hour or two and tore out images that called out to me without knowing exactly why. The most memorable photo I ever pasted onto poster board was of a woman doing something creative, that to this day I still don’t know what it was.
I stared at this image for months, loving the energy, focus and sensibility of the artist pictured here. A few weeks after this went up on my wall, a friend suggested over breakfast that I start a mastermind group exclusively for high achieving artists. The moment he said it, I began to imagine (aka vision) exactly how I would do that.
During the course of that year I designed it and sent out a special invitation to a select group of my women artist friends. It filled. Towards the end of our yearlong program, Malene Barnett, one of the participants, was showing us her latest designs for the textile industry. I grabbed my camera and shot this image–>
I went high-tech with this vision board. I had my iPhone with me at the library, shot images of each of the inspiring pages, came back to my office and uploaded, printed and cut out each of the pieces, then arranged them on a large sheet and hung it in front of my computer where I’ll stare at it every day now.
I’ve been a long-time believer in the Law of Attraction–that what you think about comes into your life. Are you?
Dream up what you’d like to think about over the next several years and join me Monday night to begin manifesting your vision. Be among the first to see my vision. There are still a few places left.
