I’d Love to be a Guest at Your Virtual Book Club!
It’s been extremely heartening to see how people have embraced Too Much of Not Enough*. It’s made me feel the need to reach out and connect with other like-minded people. And book clubs are the perfect way to do that!
There’s nothing quite like a gathering of book lovers for lively discussion and learning new things.
And nothing’s been more satisfying for me personally than to engage with book-club readers about my memoir, Too Much of Not Enough. I believe we will all leave with a greater sense of life’s possibilities.
Each chapter provokes other open-ended questions, too.
At the meeting, I’ll have a 75-minute conversation with you and your fellow members in which I’ll read 3 to 5 excerpts from my memoir. Then I’ll ask a series of questions, such as:
What was your biggest takeaway?
What hit home the most for you?
What do you still want to know?
I’ll also open the floor for your members to discuss how the book relates to your own lives. Along with everyone else present, I’ll be really interested in hearing your stories!
Each chapter provokes other open-ended questions, too.
Here’s a sampling of additional topics up for grabs:
Do you find it hard to listen to your intuition when starting a new relationship?
Why can’t you bring yourself to say “No” when you know you should?
Has your understanding of love changed over the years?
So when does your book club meet?
Contact Jane for Zoom scheduling availability.

A compelling, intimate story of courage, creativity and healing.
“I always savor Jane’s writings—her eloquence, humor and emotional honesty always touch and inspire me. Written or spoken, her words help me see my own life and reality in new and extremely helpful ways. Reading Jane’s memoir has all these qualities in many more dimensions.
This book is feminine history in both content and form. Jane weaves the specifics of her personally meaningful story within historical and cultural context. Actually, rather than “weaves,” her form is more like knitting or crocheting. The stories move forward and then loop back around until a beautiful and comforting, cohesive whole is created…”
A Coming of Age Story
“Jane’s poignant story of her journey from an emotionally neglectful childhood, to self-actualization as an adult in her early sixties resonated in so many ways. Coming from a culture where being “perfect” was always an unattainable goal, I too struggled with feelings of never being good enough to please my parents. That was reflected in so many ways through my young adulthood. While my path was different, it took me many, many years to find myself amidst all the noise of my life. Being in a bad marriage never helps one’s self-esteem, and Jane struggled, as so many of us did, with blaming ourselves and never knowing what “normal” really is. I highly recommend this memoir to those who may be in the throes of trying to figure out who they are, or those who love them.”
An Inspiring Memoir About Becoming Visible & Fulfilled
“This eloquent, engaging memoir tackles the complex issue of women’s visibility with candor and remarkable insight. When I was a little girl, I longed for a magic cloak that would make me invisible like some of my favorite folktale heroes. Years later, I realized that women have to claim their own visibility and power in a society that gives men more opportunities. I love it that Jane began her career by creating beautiful Ukrainian Easter eggs, one of which was purchased by the White House. The story of her growing career and evolving relationships is mesmerizing. I greatly enjoyed reading this book! It is both inspiring and delightful.”
A Can’t-Put Down, Honest & Personal Memoir for Women of All Stages of Life!
“Jane has written a can’t-put-down, courageous personal story that I suspect resonates with more women than she can know. Bearing her soul and her soul’s journey is what makes this such a powerful memoir. From 12-step programs to her entrepreneurial sojourns, her story takes us into the life of a smart woman who had choices to make all along the way while raising a family and attempting to keep her marriage intact. Her ability to self-reflect and then convey sometimes complex feelings so we the reader can feel her both her pain and her exuberance is quite remarkable. This is a story for all women struggling to stay true to themselves while balancing the challenging roles of motherhood, marriage and/or careers. She makes you feel like a trusted friend as she shares her intimate feelings with you over tea or a morning walk around her favorite beach. Not only is her book a pleasure to read, but it is also very well written with an honest and familiar tone. The book ends and you will be sorry to say goodbye to Jane. Maybe there is more to come…bring on the next book or the movie!”
