Tuesday night 30 Artsy Girls gathered to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. This is a group I started out of a desire to hang out with my most creative friends all at once. Twenty of us got together ten years ago for the first time at Bloodroot Restaurant in Bridgeport to try out the formula. Towards the end of that evening, Beverly Ellsley pulled me aside and said, “We have to do this again, and let’s have the next one at my house.” We did meet at her house (er, log mansion) three months later and have been meeting quarterly ever since.
To give you a glimpse of some of the talent in the room, I’ve selected a mere smattering of visual images from members’ websites. More on Artsy Girls another time…

Fantastic!
@Lindsey
It really was. I’ll show you the slide presentation we played in the media room. Truly breath-taking.
It was such a pleasure to be there! Thank you Jane.
The more i think about the group assembled last week, the more I am in awe of the gift to be a part of it. The piece that became so clear is that we are not just Artsy Girls, we are Artsy Sisters and Artsy Angels, supporting, loving, and guiding each other through our growth and creativity. Truly a unique group of women sharing sacred space together, assembled by the perceptive, creative guiding Spirit of Jane!!!
@Mindy
Thank you for the gift of these words and perspective. It does grow more special as the memory of it expands.
I second Mindy’s description of our group and feel so honored to be a part of it. Thank you, Jane, for not only a memorable evening, but for the creation and nurturing of this unique band of kindred spirits. Artsy Girls just gets better and better!
@Victoria
Thank you! It’s been awhile since you’ve attended, so must be powerful to come back and take notice. I appreciate your perspective.
