Since meeting Kathy Ball-Toncic through CTI’s Leadership program a few years ago, I’ve been in awe of her courage and mobility. During that program we did high ropes work (Kathy was far more elegant and courageous than I) among other challenging activities. She’d jump in first and shine no matter the assignment.

Kathy walked away from corporate America on 9/11 when she was among evacuees that infamous day. She’s never looked back. After graduating from the Leadership program where we met, Kathy took the helm at MSPP (Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) which offers executive coaching. After a few years in that position, as well as completing her 5th Boston Marathon, Kathy knew it was time to make a bigger shift.

She moved to Italy for a year! She flew there this past Tuesday. According to Kathy, “I decided that the only way to integrate all the changes I’ve made and to really truly shake things loose was to take a bold step and live in a foreign language and culture.”

I look forward to not only visiting Kathy during this ‘sabbatical’ but also reading the best-seller she’ll write after this bold experience. Elizabeth Gilbert, step aside!
